Meet David Kuhnert

David Kuhnert grew up in Northern Wisconsin and joined the Army right out of high school in 1988.  He served in the Army Infantry for 23 years and retired in 2011 as a Command Sergeant Major in charge of over 1,000 personnel.  During this period, Dave earned numerous awards and qualifications to include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge (2nd award), Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, the Bronze Star Medal (4th Award), and many others.  While serving in the Army, Dave earned his MBA from Columbia Southern University.  His time in the Army includes six combat deployments, numerous overseas tours, and several change of duty stations.

Dave moved to Midland, Texas shortly after retiring from the Army where he joined CrownQuest Operating working in the oil and gas field as the Production Manager.  During his time with CrownQuest, Dave was instrumental in the hiring process for over 300 people, served on the Fiduciary Committee, oversaw the 100,000 Barrels of oil/day production for over 1,600 oil wells, and helped develop the culture.  The culture he helped create was critical in taking the company from $500 million to $12 Billion in thirteen years.

David is married with four children and seven grandchildren and resides in Midland, TX with his family.  Dave is a published author and leadership coach.  His book, Servant Leadership, and training material are used by numerous organizations around the world.
